1st Semester

1.1 Financial Accounting Framework

On the completion of this module you will be able to:

• Understand accounting framework;

• Understand and apply the principles of double-entry bookkeeping;

• Prepare financial reports and accounting documentation;

• Use Accounting Standards adopted in the RA.

1.2 Economics Framework

The course illustrates the mechanism of the Market Economy

• The Foundations of Market Economy;

• The Basic Macroeconomic Indicators;

• Unemployment and Inflation;

• Aggregate Demand and Aggregate Supply;

• Monetary and Fiscal Policies;

• Public Debt and Economic Growth.

1.3 Computer Skills

During the course you will study:

• MS Windows, Word, Excel programs.

1.4 Legal Framework

This module gives necessary and useful information about preparation and conclusion of Civil and Labor Contracts in the legal system of the RA. In addition it gives information about:

• Legal and Forensic Systems in Armenia;

• Types of Legal Entities;

• Types of Trade Legal Entities;

• Contractual and Labor Legislation.

1.5 History of Accountancy Development

During this module you will study:

• The social, cultural and technological prerequisites of the Accountancy origin;

• Principles of counting-house of Old Egypt, Persia, China and of the ancient world;

• Principles of counting-house in Mid Centuries;

• Peculiarities of the Italian, German, Spanish Accounting schools;

• Peculiarities of the modern Accounting theories.
